Hello Delta

It wasn’t that long ago when I unwrapped the best Christmas present ever! A brand new Recording King guitar with PLAY ME written all over it.

I practiced. And practiced. And then my fingers bled. And then I practiced some more. And next thing I knew Valentine’s Day was right around the corner. One afternoon I sat in the guest bedroom of our old house with one mission: write Luke a song for Valentine’s day. I had four chords memorized, a blackberry voice recorder and I knew that the word Luke rhymed with duke, juke and puke.

Thirty minutes hadn’t passed when I emerged from the guest room with my first grammy nominated Billboard #1 smash hit country single, “Green-Eyed Farm Boy”. Oops! Sorry! Got lost in a daydream again. But I did write the song! And I was surprised at how easy it came to me…
